From a personal viewpoint, of those three airlines NZ
would be my choice. I have never flown with them but I have heard very good reports both on a.net and generally. I am told the service is friendly and professional, and there is something about New Zealand hospitality that makes you feel an important guest rather than simply a passenger. Added to this, NZ
aircraft operating LHR
are specifically configured for long-haul travel with good IFE.
is neither particularly good nor particularly bad.
I would avoid VS
like a plague - it is the world's most over-hyped airline. Their in-flight service is rarely good and their cabin crew usually come across as amateurs, often poking fun at passengers and safety issues. This might be acceptable if the service was good, but it is irritating when the service is bad. You will find on VS
that with the IFE boxes under the seat in front of you, your seat pitch seems more restricted than the normal economy class seat. VS
serves a restricted choice of drinks, so it is unlikely that your favourite brand will be available. There is constant plugging of VS
brands and products in their IFE, in their in-flight magazine, in their bar service, and if that is not enough, the cabin crew will try to force sell you something!
