Hi,

Quoting HighFlyer9790 (Thread starter):

Would love to hear that again in a smooth American drawl, sorely missed.

Makes up for it though hearing any American accent across the ATC airwaves, somehow it makes the world seem smaller, that with any QF,SQ or any Far Eastern Airlines.

Speedbird is my all time favorite. But, there is just something cool about an Australian accent coming over the South Pacific HF. With the crackles and distortion is sounds much like X-Wing fighter comms in Star Wars.

This topic comes up pretty often and I always say the same thing:

Cedarjet

Gotta love it...in my opinion the best callsign.

By the way, Cedarjet used to be my nickname for everything but when I came on here I found that it was already taken  irked

I love the thick New York air traffic control accent that you hear at LGA, EWR or JFK. It is also hilarious when they have an attitude and are speaking with that accent.

I also love the Kiwi accent of New Zealand. It sounds just so perfect.

Speedbird
Shamrock
RAF-Flight

P.S. Those Callsigns that just are the airline´s name, are a bit boring IMO.

Any of the unique/unusual callsigns are the ones I like: Brickyard, Speedbird, Springbok, Candler (now Acey), Waterski, Blue Streak, Cactus, Citrus, Shamrock, Critter (ValuJet), etc.

Accents really don't matter to me when it comes to ATC.

Just love the Speedbird, especially hearing them contacting Sydney Departure with "Sydney Departure Good Afternoon Speedbird 16 Climbing flight level 280 cleared direct to Katoomba" I really don't know why but the line sounds so cool coming from the Speedbird Pilots.

So my vote is for Speedbird at fav ATC callsign.

I hear heaps and heaps of Qantas flights everyday on the scanner but when Im listening to Socal Approach its great to hear QF149 heading in for the early morning arrival with all the US accents with the Hawaiian flights of UA, AA, CO and DL arriving as well as the heaps and heaps of FedEx planes at that time.
Blessed are the Cheesemakers !
