hello every one!
this goes out there to all the booking experts, I am planning a trip to Australia this summer(economy class), planning to depart from IAD or DCA. I am very exited about the whole thing cause I have never been to Australia.
Me and my wife have done some research and it seems like the Qantas airpass is an excellent deal.
Mainly because we would like to go to Tasmania and Brisbane....and the deal is as follows for ~$1000.00 you can get a rountrip to Australia + 3 other destinations. it turns out Hobart and Brisbane are included in these destinations so I am all set..I even have one more place to choose...
however, I have an option of buying the "special" from LAX and buy a separate ticket from IAD to LAX...or add $300.00 and book the whole thing with Qantas? (I am sure they have some codeshare with one of the one world member)
what is better (economy wise) should I book the whole thing with Qantas or get separate tickets????
and the final question is...any suggestions on how I can maybe get on the Qantas A330?? (i guess with the inter Australia flights) I am just a huge fan of the A330 and would be willing to pay a little more if I can fly this bird...
Also if Qantas isn't the best way to get to Tasmania..what other options are there..can you fly a 777 across the pacific??? (that is one plane I haven't yet flown and I am eager to get a ride on!)
sorry guys..I feel I have lots of experience in Latin American travelling and Europe but not across the pacific
thanks for any help in advance
