Paris Airports: CDG T1, T2 Or ORY?

Thu Apr 20, 2006 2:01 pm

In several recent threads there have been quite some bad reviews of CDG´s T1 and T2 (yes, also I have added my experience in some of these threads).

As HLX (X3) is now offering flights into Paris´ alternative airport ORY from my homebase, I wonder what the reviews of that airport are ...
  • Any useful information to share (apart the information on )?
  • Which airport resp. Terminal do you prefer ? CDG T1, CDG T2, ORY ?

P.S. Explanation of the topic:
LH flies into CDG T1, AF flies into CDG T2D, HLX flies into ORY Sud from HAJ.

Thanks in advance,

I also prefer CDG T2 to ORY and I think CDG T2 is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of the shambolic sh*thole called CDG T1.

What a shame that the airline I regularly use for flights to Paris and work for "recently" moved from T2 to T1 at CDG.  hissyfit

T2 is quite good compared to T1 (and for Paris standards). However, I believe that T1 was a pretty cool terminal when it opened. ORY is just horrible!

T1 is horrible, T2 is the place to be.

I have only ever been to T2, but it was fair too large and badly laid out, it was dated and needed a serious updating, ohh and security, my grandfather's hip went off and no one came to check on it, someone else had the same thing happen and they just left.
But maybe France's airports are like their train stations, too much like eastern Europe, when I came on the Eurotrain from London i thought i was in eastern Europe!

It has gone a long time since I used ORY, but I remeber that I liked it.

I love Orly!

My preference would be: Orly, CDG2 and then CDG1.

CDG1 is horrific now, but it used to be one of the coolest terminals!
And CDG2, in order of preference: 2F, 2C, 2D, 2A, 2E. Never gone through B.
