My first international destination occurred about 2 weeks after I was born.
I flew Los Angeles - New York on an AA
DC-10 and then my dad flew out to New York from Pakistan on short notice (I was born early) to meet me and my mum. We spent about 4 days in New York and then flew JFK
on Pan Am and then connected back home to Athens on an British Airways Lockheed L-1011. This was in late May 1984.
Significantly, I also flew on the Concorde prenatally with my mother, when she flew LHR
before I was born. Would kill to know which BA
Concorde operated that route.
I used to often complain to my parents and ask them why they sent my mum on the Concorde on the way over and not the two of us on the way back and would tell them that they deprived me of my chance to fly on it. They eventually caved in and sent me on it in 2003 anyway
