US Airways, What To Expect?

Fri Apr 28, 2006 12:18 am

Next july I'll be flying US Airways on their MAD-PHL route. Both of the sectors will be done by a A330. What can I expect in terms of IFE, food, seat etc...? I'll be travelling in economy class
thank you very much!
bye! rmcf

my mate flew on that route a few years ago, and unless the interior hasnt changed, you are in for a bumpy and uncomftable ride!

(words said by my mate, and he is saying that from what he experienced a few years ago)

Trans-atlantic A333 service on US is actually quite decent. Get ready for some great IFE! The Sony P@ssport system is great, some of the best IFE in the world if you ask me. The food is less then impressive however. The seats are ok..... no worse the LH economy (if not better). I've flown them multiple times, however I usually go on Envoy class. My coach expiriences have been alright though..... not too bad.

I've actually had very positive experiences aboard the US A330s. I managed to sleep for 4 hours in a coach middle seat on the A330 - definitely a first for me. The IFE is very good. The food was decent on my latest flight.

Envoy is my favorite business class among US carriers (although I've never flown CO business). I'd definitely put US economy (A330) above LH.
