I Need Some Help With Booking A Flight.

Mon May 08, 2006 10:36 am

Hello!

I have a bit of a dilemma.
My Dad has planned a trip to Ontario.
Unless it's with Alaska, I am not afraid
to say that I have an extreme disliking for the 737.
The thing is, he is insistent on flying with Westjet!
This is because they fly right into London, then we wouldn't
have to take a shuttle into St. Thomas.
Now I love Westjet and their service. It is a wonderful company.
But even though I am so happy to fly, I would rather eat
nails than be stuck on a 737.
So I need your help.
Could you please tell me which airlines fly from YVR to YXU for the
same price or cheaper than Westjet?
Thank you so much.

First off...why the 737 bashing?

Secondly, any of AS's fleet you may want to stay off of. :-P

Thirdly, what i try to do is find the airlines that fly into my destionation city and figure out whats the cheapest from there.

You will have to disclose at least the desired dates of travel in order to perform any useful research.

Amadeus lists only to carriers: WS (with stops enroute) and AC (with connection in YYZ).
But I´m not the expert in Canadian LCC´s ...

Thanks for the responses.
I have decided to give Westjet a try.
737s are actually very nice aircraft.
The thing is, I have had some horrible experiences with AC's fleet.
Now I see that you cannot base your opinion on an aircraft because
of the service provided by a totally different airline.
Maybe WS be much nicer (and they might even keep the lights on  Smile ).
I'll just have to wait and see.

Haha, as I said, unless it is with AS.

You fly small planes and are afraid of 737s? Unless the 737 is landing in front of your small plane or behind it without enough separation, you shouldn't be afraid of them.

Take AC right into YYZ, then you can connect through to YXU.

Another option would be Harmony Airways or CanJet.

You will likely be on a heavy, yet AC's economy service is not comparably to WS's. WS is just that much better unless you are flying Executive class.

Hope this helps.

Is it really that good?
Tell me something good about WestJet.
Not like I don't believe you, I'm not even sceptical.
I just want to know what kind of services they offer that
beat AC's.

And that would be cheaper?

Thanks for the info.

How would you book a flight, your profile shows age 13-15  Confused

For the last few years, even though I might not of actually
done the action of booking the flights, I have played the biggest
part in selecting the flight. I'm the airline geek in the family.  Wink
