Fosset's Definition Of Going Around The World?

Fri May 12, 2006 8:19 pm

As many of you know, Steve fosset had circumnavigated the world .
When he did it with an air balloon however, he went from Argetnina and actually flew on a very southern parallel. Thus the distance he's hadto travel was FAR less that the Earth's circumference.

Could this herefore be really called travel around the world. Because if you want ,you may just as well circumnavigate the world around parallel 80 and still go around the worlkd !
A man without the knowledge of his past history, culture and origins is like a tree without roots
