You can:

1. rent a car - should take 30 minutes or less to get to downtown using highway.
2. take an airpot limo - should cost you $55 or so.
3. take TTC - TTC is Toronto's public transit system. Cash fare is $2.75 with unlimited transfers within a couple hours of boarding. The buses take you to Lawrence West (I think) and Kipling Station. I'd take the one going to Kipling and take the subway going east and transfer southbound at St. George. It should take about an hour to do this trip. The bus service to Kipling service is super-fast as there is no stop between Kipling Station and the Airport. This sounds harder than it actually is.

I think that's pretty much it. Just try to stay away from non-airport limo cab drivers offering you rides.

I know its Canada but get hot in the summertime..and they wounder why people wont use public transport" I truly expected more from Toronto...They need to extend the Subway to the Airport..SFO..ORD..EWR..did it hope they are working on it...If you can afford it Take a Taxi to the Subway...

You could also take the Airport express. The coach bus runs from all terminals to the city and makes stops at all major hotels downtown. It runs every 20-30 min and costs about $17 for a one way and $30 for a return. I thinks its the best way to and from the airport in terms of price and convinience.

The TTC service to the airport is cheap, but pathetic as COSPN says. The transit system in Toronto is really becoming obsolete compared to other cities, I think its time for a bit of competition to get things moving again.

The Airport Express used to be a lot better, you could catch it from York Mills or Yorkdale subway stations, rather than have to go all the way downtown. After the TTC service from Kipling, this was discontinued unfortunatley.

There's also a GO bus from terminal 1 (and perhaps from other terminals) to Yorkdale and York Mills subway stations. While it's only about $3.65 - pay on board or buy ticket at a booth inside the terminal - it only runs about once an hour. Much cheaper than the airport express bus and just as comfortable.
Last time I took it, it was operating from the ground level in Terminal 1.

i would just take the bus to Kipling Subway... the total travel time to Toronto City Centre (City Hall) would be just under an hour! and the busses have Air Conditioning!!! (New Fleet) but then if you take the other bus to Lawrence Subway then you dont have any Air Conditioning... you see... some routes... particularly the less travelled routes use older buses... whilst all the well travelled, Express routes will have A/C

Its up to you but the bus is cheap and EASY!!

Thanks
