Wonder if any of them are a.netters?

I would suggest most probably. Anyone regular not posting this morning?

My dad claims he won't fly on the 380 til it's been flying for a few years. The reasons he gives are actually pretty valid: that if there was an accident early on in its life, it would be sealing its own fate in terms of public opinion (up to 850 people could die in an all out cattle class configuration, god forbid), and that he doesn't want to have to wait the extra time that it would take to board and deplane.

Frankly, I trust that Airbus has thoroughly tested the A380, wouldn't mind the wait THAT much, and would fly on it any day.
Regards,

-Tom

Boarding with four aisles and two bridges does not take longer than for smaller planes. Additionally there is the possibility to use a third bridge.

 Sad yeah, unfortunately

As for me, I'd love to fly on the A380. The sooner the better.

The BBC forum has a huge amount of ill-informed nonsense on it.

Would I fly on the A380? In the F or J cabin of a quality airline, of course I would!

Certainly early problems may have hit aircraft like the DC-10 but the 3 most recent new aircraft the A330, A340 and 777 have never had a fatel accident.
