BA Loads MAN-JFK

Tue May 30, 2006 9:49 pm

Hi, can someone please tell me the loads (not CRS figures) for the following flights? If it is wide open, could I have the figures for C. Many thanks for all your help.

MAN-JFK

BA1503 01 JUN
BA1503 02 JUN

JFK-MAN
BA1502 03 JUN
BA1502 04 JUN
BA1502 05 JUN

Once again, many thanks for all your help.  Wink

Thank you so much!  Wink
May I ask, how did you access the information? I have always tried to find a site on the net to get information on exact loads but have been unsuccessful! Any tips, or do I need to be BA staff to get access?

Also, why is it that Amadeus/CRS shows the following figures, for example 4 JUN JFK-MAN as:

J9 C9 D9 I6 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 R9 V9 N9 L9 S9 0 0

which suggests that the flight is wide open, but according to your figures of 5J 6W 2M, the flight seems fairly full? I always find CRS figures and actual flight loads never seem to match!

Once again, many thanks for your help! Really appreciate it.  Wink

I'm curious to see what sort of effect the DL JFK-MAN flights have (on bigger equipment, I might add). I'm sure its too soon to tell but I'd imagine this might have a detrimental affect on BA 1502/1503, even if not too many Brits are likely to use DL.

I'd think so.

J9 C9 D9 I6 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 R9 V9 N9 L9 S9 0 0

Because that's the number of tickets they can sell, not how many seats there are, they may want to sell 10 seats but in fact only have 4 avalible

I think BA's premium passengers in Club World and World Traveller Plus will stick with BA because DL is not currently offering a business or premium economy product on their 764s to MAN.

DL's service adds to the competition on the MAN-NYC route, but let's not forget that CO has been flying to MAN with daily 777s/767s and double daily 767/757 for years and BA seems to have coped. Time will tell  Wink

I remember an a.netter posting a name of a website here few weeks ago which gave such figures as well as a seating plan for airline flights but I can't seem to remember it!

Oh well, thanks anyway for your help wrighty!  Wink

Indeed this is true.
The revamping of BA's Y cabin on their 763s came at a good time too!

And AVOD will be installed on BA's 767s in June!  Wink

DL 154/155 is going with about 50% load for now but for the summer it steps up to about 90% capacity. So I think the flight is doing okay.

I don't know a website, but what I sometimes do, is put in 6 passengers on whatever class you want to travell on BA.COM, and if the flight shows up, it's got a few seats free, if not, got back and try 5, then 4 etc.  Smile

Am I correct in thinking most of the passengers on DL's MAN-JFK flight are connecting onward in JFK? On BA's MAN-JFK flight, most of the passengers are not connecting onward as their final destination is New York.

Yeah there are a lot of connections that come off of the 155. I don't really know about 1503 b/c when I worked there I Evergreen only handled the ramp not the baggage room.

The BA flight operates as an American Airlines codeshare, so there will no doubt be connection options onto AA flights. However I would expect a large proportion of passengers will be heading for NYC, more so than on the Delta flights.
