Whats The Best Retro Paint Scheme....?

Fri Jun 02, 2006 1:14 pm

whats the best retro paint scheme on a active plane. US/HP have some nice ones, LH has 1 or 2 planes painted in a retro scheme

what would be nice is to see a united 777, 767, 747 in a bare metal scheme with the blue stripes, or a retro scheme. say the friendship livery.

Yes, that fits the best. I am also very fond of Lufthansa s retro A321 and all of US Airways heritage jets, too.
It will forever be a McDonnell Douglas MD 80 , Boeing MD 80 sounds so wrong

I'm with ZippyJet here . . . the AA retro on that 757 looks awesome. A 757 would look awesome anyway  biggrin .

I agree! The Delta Widget classic livery is timeless. The Wavy Gravy and the interim schemes have grown on me but nothing beats the original.

I'm with you on that one, followed closely by the Spirit of Delta scheme.

The Retro AA 737 looked a lot better than the retro AA 757 in my opinion. I liked the way they did the nose on the 737 design better.

Maybe we should start a poll and chose the best retro scheme. What do you think?
