I haven't checked fares or anything, but personally, if you'd rather go nonstop than make a connection, I'd recommend AS. I love that airline, they have always been a sort of class act in past years, even though recently their history has been somewhat less than stellar. Still, I'd go for the AS experience.

If they are in the ball park thats the way to go..Connections the end of summer, airport delays for whatever reasons, non-stop whenever possible.

Don't forget that jetBlue also flies the route nonstop. It is a redeye SEA-BOS flight, but B6 is a good option with good service. AS is a nice airline too. Nonstop is always safer, but it is ridiculously expensive to fly to Seattle in the summer. Loads are always very high with many leisure travelers getting on cruise ships to Alaska and other destinations in that part of the country. $400-600 is perfectly reasonable for August unfortunately.
If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!

If CO is offering a good fare.. I would go with them. Complimentary "real" food can't be beat.

Does CO give you the whole can of pop automatically or do you have to ask for it?
