I booked this trip in coach, but on the return flight Alaska Airlines asked if 1st class was OK, they didn't have two seats together in coach.
I said "Yes,It's OK."

CDG --> LIS AF2124 7:55PM A320-200

About two hours and a half, plus delays. But they usually catch it up while flying so I'm not too worried. Nice flight though, a very low approach over the city of Lisbon. One of the rare airports in Europe that has a city so close to it... I don't know If the European regulations are applied in Lisbon, but the airport was built too late to attend to those regulations as Portugal only entered the European Community in 1986 and the airport was built well before that.

Mine is pretty boring
going to IMTS in chicago

9/7/06 CLE to MDW
9/9/06 ORD to CLE

it was a real pain in the arse to get this saturday flight booked. some other folks were flying round trip on continental for $120, but on saturday, they didnt offer any flights after 3:30pm...we are counting on saturday as one of our days at the trade show, so we couldnt do that.

ended up getting one way CLE to MDW on CO for $98 (we could have gone cheaper via WN, but we wanted to be on the same flight as our companions going out with us, but coming home sooner)

then taking a United flight around 9:00pm on saturday...a real doozy to plan, 14 people over 3 days,

4 different travel plans...arrgh im glad its done!

about to book:
ANC-Orlando-MSP-Orlando-ANC (with a stop in SEA and possibly fairbanks... I would go up to fairbanks to be able to rack up the segments for MVP Wink)
this will be on AS down to Orlando then probably NWA up to MSP... or is AA a better choice up to MSP (we want a AS partner)?

so that will be leaving ANC on August 13 then leaving Orlando to go to MSP on the 16th then coming back the 20th.

Hi!

I just back back from my last one...but because I have something going on next year why not share with you guys! This is just a draft, I still have to get the dates really confirmed, but it wouldn't get much different from this:

LIS/AMS - KL1694 - 738 - 2007/04/09
AMS/CDG - KL2001 - 320 - 2007/04/10 ( operated by AF )
CGD/FIH - KL2248 - 332 - 2007/04/10 ( operated by AF )
FIH/NBO - KL412 - 737NG -2007/04/18 ( operated by KQ )
NBO/AMS - KL566 - 777 - 2007/04/18
AMS/LIS - KL1693 - 738 - 2007/04/19

Looking forward for my very first visit to Africa!

You're going to DRC for 10 days ?! One has to ask - whyyy ?!! It's not exactly Club Med.

August 7th I'm flying UA from DTW-ORD and then ORD-LAX, then August 10th UA from LAX-HNL then August 13th NZ from HNL-AKL then August 14th NZ from AKL-WLG. Still deciding if I fly NZ or QF from WLG-AKL a few days later thou. I really want to try Jetconnects (QF) newest fleet member, the B734. At this stage I'm driving back from Auckland to Wellington afterwards

Hi JGPH1A!

Well I'm part of a worldwide evangelical group that meets every year in a different place, this year it was in Colombia, so next year we want to meet in Congo with our african friends, so like you said, it's not the ClubMed, but it that's not even my point....I'll be there to have a good time with congolese, zimbawean, namibian, angolan! But by your words it looks that is a scary place to go???? Well before I travelled 2 weeks ago to Colombia lots of people told me that it was a dangerous place, and infact I had a great time there!

My next flight is gonna be August 20/21/22 or 23
LAX-BOS or LAX-BDL on DL haven't decided yet but BDL is about 1 hour closer to where I am going than BOS but there are a few factors that may make the flight to BOS better.

DRC is a whole quantum leap of scary ahead of Colombia - I went to Bogota last year, and I never noticed anything out of the ordinary (OK maybe other parts of the country are different, I don't know) - the DRC however is seriously unstable (i.e. ongoing civil war) and very very poor. Just be careful, OK ? No doubt the organisers of your convention have thought of that, but take all necessary precautions. I haven't been, but colleagues have and they survived, only just.

One important thing though, and I would never say this unless I meant it - NO LOCAL DRC AIRLINE TRAVEL - just don't, seriously. Flying a clapped out rust-streaked Antonov may look like fun, but they aren't well looked after, to put it mildly.

Hi JGPH1A!

Thanks for your words, of course I'm not going to RDG like a portuguese Indiana Jones, no way my friend!!!! First of all I will stay only in FIH, no cruising around, and no local flying either!!!! Colombia still have some spots were you need to be carefull, like the province of Chóco, I was also in Cali and the locals told me the best way is to fly there....you can drive from Bogotá to Cali, but if you do that you'll probably meet the guerrilla!!! So I took an AV flight! But JGPH1A, one thing I want to share with you, me and my other fellows are looking REALLY CLOSE how the elections go today at RDG!!!!If the political situation stays stabble after this event, OK, we might go...but if not......we will cancel that meeting!
Anyway thanks, and if I go I'll try to bring a pretty cool trip report!

My next booked flight is on August 21, from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur with Lufthansa. Coming back on the 24th.
Unfortunately LH now operates the 747-400 instead of the A340-600... Not that I'm complaining, but I didn't get a ride on the 346 yet.
