Dirtiest Plane?

Tue Jul 11, 2006 1:49 pm

No, I'm not talking Air France. What are the dirtiest, smokiest, smoggiest planes out there?

My nomination is the C-130:

Glad you agree. In defence of U2's airbuses, they are excellent.Went GLA-STN-GLA a couple of weeks ago and was impressed! They seem to have got it spot-on with these.

very true..that brings up an interesting question..why are AF's aircrafts most of the time very dirty? is their maintenance crew just poor or what?

I find this ironic, because don't they clean their streets like every day over there??

Dirtiest I was ever on was an old TW DH7 that was filthy on the outside, and lacked sufficient A/C once you got in it. And yes, it was 90ºF outside...

Just to confirm, these are great a/c.I don't know why,but there seems to be a calming influence on these. The lighting is cool, aircon actually works..just great aircraft with an airline that's trying soooo hard!!  Smile  Smile

I agree with you - Al Gore should have included it in "An Inconvenient Truth".....he probably hates that thing.
