VS Or BA To MCO?

Thu Jul 27, 2006 5:52 pm

Basically what the title says VS or BA to MCO? And also does anyone whether BA have amenity kits? I would also like to know why, eg. meals are better, entertainment better etc.

Thanks In Advance

Not much in it, really. It will be a T7 on BA or a 744 on VS - don't know if you have a preference. I think the meals and entertainments etc are much of a muchness between them - both fine. One 'googlie' for you - as BA's T7s have such a small Y cabin, whereas VS's LGW 744s have a massive Y cabin, that I hear there is a much better chance of an u**rade if you have status with BA, as if the small Y cabin is overbooked, the proportional chance of moving to W are better.Make of that what you will.

Thanks, my family are executive silver, so will probably go with BA. But does anybody know if BA give out amenity kits?

The return flight takes off from MCO at 17:20 and lands at LGW at 06:30 the next day. Will I get dinner and breakfast or just dinner?

Thanks Again,

whatever you get, it will be better catering for sure than VS, especially from USA-London. Virgin is a lot of hype and economy is truly uncomfortable, obviously cut-back-to-charter-level service, and young inexperienced crew. There are of course the occasional great crew, but again let down by the catering. Entertainment is better on VS, however for a transatlantic flight BA has PVTs also in Eco. Overall I think BA>

You'll get a full dinner and "All Day Catering" for breakfast, which isn't bad but just not a complete "hot" meal.
