My usual best flight used to be NGO
> GUM on JAL. Leave at 6pm and get into Guam at around midnight. Wake up the next morning to the sun on the beach
The flight was almost always about 75% capacity. After levelling off I'd move to an open row and push the seat all the way back. Have some wine with dinner, watch the movie, play some bingo (Resocha special) and I'd be asleep in no time.
Twice we were lucky enough to get seats in Row 1 going over, and Row 3 coming back. Gotta love those business class seats on a JAL 767.
Also since it was a flight coming out of Japan, everyone went through the visitors line at immigration. I was the only one that went to the line for US residents
My 2nd best flight of all time was last week, ORD
. A 50% capacity flight, I asked for a bulkhead seat and got the whole row to myself. A little bumpy after coming out of ORD
, but other than that it was smooth sailing. The food was great, the FAs were VERY pretty
and extremely friendly. I sat facing one of their seats and we talked for a while. Didn't sleep much and the movies were the same I'd seen going over, but I didn't mind.
