What Else Could Ryanair Do?

Mon Aug 21, 2006 2:47 am

to save money ?

Surprise they have not yet done an all white plane after delivery....don't you think that would save money? or a bare metal livery..
Also makes the aircraft lighter thus reduce MTOW, reduce payload and burn less fuel...
I think that would be the fatal move after all Ryanair's cost cutting measures
(e.g. sticking csafety card behind seats, removing reclinable seats, having to ask for you barfbag, crew not being able to charge their phones on board, crew having to pay for water on board, pilots only having one piece of paper per route to prepare it, etc)

All of the above dpn't surprise me at all, FR couldn't survive without these measures, they accuse BA of being desperate. Their time will come, they can't avoid high fares forever.

A bare metal plane wouldn't suprise me, however, that means they wouldn't be able to advertise their name on the plane.

The matter of the fact is, they are able to remove these features, because people are prepared to fore go these luxuries if they can save £10 on their ticket.

The flying public would let Ryanair do anything it needs to, so long as safety isn't compromised...

Cinema type hinged seats bases. So all the crap/rubbish/sick just runs off and this saves cleaning them.
Lino flooring.
Hat-rack beds (at an extra cost)
Urinal toilets with no sink (so it is smaller, Men don't wash their hands anyway! )
No rear galley just seats all along the back.
Flog the 737-800s for more than what they paid for them.
Get loads Tu-204s at a very low price. Two for the price of a 737.
Re-brand as Paddyair.

Oh... and use the emergency slides for getting them off quick.

Will that do yer?

Buy A320's and cram in 177 seats.

This should save money.

A320's are cheaper than 737-800's and burn less fuel per mile dont they??

Get rid of all the seats and get a subway style interior: benches along the sides of the plane and people standing in the middle.
