US Airways ----> Piedmont.

Hopefully the spirit of Piedmont would have followed.

I don't think that should matter. Look at Southwest, China Southern, China Eastern, just to name a few.

I would rename any airline with a .com in the name (ie Jet2.com), and I would change S7 Airlines back to Siberia Airlines. And I would change the "new" Pan Am to something else.

I dont think a lot of the suggested names are that great, Alitalia sounds nice when you say it versus Air Italia. Some you cannot change like S7 because it has curb appeal, a lot of the airlines names do have curb appeal. Now, Travel City Direct, yeah id change it quick enough. Same with Chatauqua or whatever, change it to somehting I can and others can read, interpret, and pronounce properly ahaha. :p

Continental > Eastern

Majority of Eastern's assets were transferred to Continental during Eastern's final years. So I give Eastern full credit for Continental's success today.

Wow if they did that they might have to ditch IMO the best looking logo in the skies today.

What?! I always loved how they called themselves "Cathay Pacific." Cathay is what ancient explorers used to call the area of China. I always thought "Cathay" sounded so much nicer than "China."
