Longest Non-stop Flight Of An A 300 And 310

Mon Sep 11, 2006 11:57 pm

What was the longest nonstop flight (hours and distances) of an A 300 ever and what is the longest nonstop flight it is currently used for?? Any airline using it on transatlantic oder transpazific-routes?

I know still some airlines like CSA or ATA are using the A 310-300 over the pond and PIA from Europe to Pakistan. Any other airline still using this beauty on long-distance flights?

Hey!

I once red in "AERO International" that a InterFlug A310 made a nonstop flight from Okinawa or somewhere else in Japan to SXF.
Don't know which magazine it was. You can check it out. It was the magazine with a big article on Interflug. It's maximum a two year old issue.

I think AI used to fly the A310 on the DEL-Rome sector back in the early 90's....almost 7 - 8 hrs non-stop....

If memory serves, before TK moved their operations to JFK they ran A310 service nonstop between EWR and IST, something more than 5000 miles. That must have stretched that aircraft's capabilities to the limit!

At one time I believe Air Afrique operated JFK-DKR (3806 mi/6124 km) with the A300-600R. AA also flew JFK-LHR (3451 mi/5554 km) and I think BOS-ORY (3449 mi/5550 km) with the type.

I am not aware of any current regularly scheduled transatlantic or transpacific A300 passenger service, though.

At one time, Aeroflot was running SVO-HKG on an A310, but the route it overflew was Moscow - Novosibirsk - Ulaan Bataar - Beijing - Wuhan - Hong Kong.

SVO-OVB = 1517 nm
OVB-ULN = 996 nm
ULN-PEK = 630 nm
PEK-WUH = 569 nm
WUH-HKG = 507 nm

TOTAL: 4219 nm

OS used to send their A313's from VIE to JNB via NBO.

OA used to deploy their AB6's from ATH to JNB via NBO.

These are not non-stop but nevertheless, they are quite long flights.

Interflug flew scheduled SXF-HAV. That's 8403km /4537nm and a bit shorter than to Japan. But winds on the return make a lot uglier to fly on an A313.

That's the reason why their A313 got higher fuel capacity than all other A313. They are now flying for with the German Air Force, which really appreciates that feature ... specifications on the range of those frames are a little divers, so I don't now the correct range. I guess it is somewhere around 10.500km (nominal).

OM operates one stop ULN - SVO - TXL and also non-stop ULN - TXL. At some point this was an A310 route, it may still be unless they switched to 738 equipment (which does not have the range to operate non-stop to Western Europe)

It's the outbound winds that made it ugly. The return would have been pushed along by tailwinds all year.

That's interesting. According to OK's web site their 310's don't have the range.

http://www.csa.cz/en/czechia/cz_cest...a/letadlovaflotila/cz_a310_300.htm

If I remember correctly, the westbound flight always stops at YUL. BTW, their interiors are pretty incomfortable (at least OK-WAB)

Great info. Thanks. I somehow always mix the equipment at former Balkan.I guess what makes me confused is the fact that these 767 were F-registered(leased from Air France).
Hey, btw our national carrier TG used to fly BKK to PER with the 300B4 (last flight was March 1999) but this was only 2815NM I believe. So, it probably wont count in here.
Back to IF. I think they came to BKK for a very short period of time. But most
likely stoped somewhere else too. That was with the 310 which is now with the German Airforce.

The longest current A310 route is MIA-EZE on Aerolineas Argentinas.

Some long ones Miami in the past include Royal Jordanian's Miami-Vienna route (late 80s/early 90s) and Lufthansa's Miami-Hamburg route (early/mid-1990s).
