Best Way To Go MEL-GOT?

Mon Oct 02, 2006 5:34 pm

I want to go to GOT this up comming weekend in business class.

Here is the catch folks. Flying out of melbourne I want to use QF29 (going via hong Kong)... so I'm guessing I'll go all the way thru to LHR and then jump on SAS to GOT. Anybody got any other suggestions? Finnair is out because i hear the business class catering isn't really up to the same standard as QF... I want lie flat beds (either sloper or fully flat) and not the old fashoned business class type seats. A layover in london wouldn't also be that bad.

What do u guys suggest?

Malaysia Airlines MEL-KUL-ARN. Then ARN-GOT on SAS. Just a suggestion.

Have a nice trip  Smile

I was thinking that too as a backup...but because i know a few QF crew I really want to get on either QF9 (mel-sin) or QF 29(MEL-Hong Kong) for the first leg... but thanks anyway, suggestion noted. That and i do love ARN.

I'd go with SQ MEL-SIN and then SIN-FRA-GOT (last leg with LH/SK), SIN-AMS-GOT, SIN-LHR-GOT or just SIN-CPH-GOT.

It all depends if you prefer 777 or 744. If you choose 744 I'd recommend seat 17A - top floor emergency exit  Wink

I second that Big grin

You could aslo fly GOT-AMS-KUL-MEL on one ticket. KLM operates the GOT-AMS leg. The route is also listed in MH's Going Places inflight magazine  Smile

AMS is also a nice airport to transfer at, and KLIA is just great Big grin

AMS-KUL would be the 744
ARN-KUL would be the 772

KUL-MEL would be either the 772 or 744 depending on the flights you choose (2x Daily)
