The Real Winner Of The Battle Of The Americans?

Wed Oct 04, 2006 11:15 am

G-day,
I hope that everyone has enjoyed the Battle of the Americans as much as I have. good luck to the other livery battles going on.

I was wondering if I was to show you all of the airlines, all going for it at one time, what would be your vote?

United won the battles, but what airline do you really think has the best livery?

I was also thinking about doing a world won once all of these other battles finish. we could take the winners and possibly the runners up and see out of those airlines what one airline you think as the best livery in all of the land on this earth!

My favorites overall are MaxJet and Sun Country for the overall livery, although my favorite tails are Hawaiian, United, Delta, Northwest (at least when looking at the left side of it!), Continental, JetBlue, Frontier, Sun Country, and eos. A lot of my votes during the contest were lost based on the main fuselage livery, particularly in the final Hawaiian/United battle. I like Hawaiian's tail more, but the fuselage is basically all white except for the Hawaiian title. At least United paints half of it blue.

By the way, you used the wrong US Livery. I like US's new livery as well but not the old one. The color on them was nice when in good shape, but they didn't seem to hold up and/or seemed to fade, plus I don't like it when cheatlines just go straight up around the nose. On their new livery it bends down at the nose which I think looks cool.

Where is UPS? That would be #3

Also, it is unfair that you show the United on such an ugly plane, the 737, it would be most fair to show them all on a 757 or 330.

United and I agree, show the 747 or 777, not the 737!

I would say the Frontier livery or the New USAirways livery. Tough choice.
