What's Your Favorite Website To Book Flights?

Wed Oct 11, 2006 4:17 pm

I guess the post is pretty clear.
Lately I must say that I like Delta.com best when I book flights to the US. But for European flights I pick the website of the LCC that serves my desired region.

CX. I think they got the best website.

EK comes close.  wave

For LCC, AK's really easy to navigate. Very userfriendly interface. Better than FR's website.

First, I go to Orbitz (www.Orbitz.com) and find out who is the cheapest airline, stops, service, etc...Then I go to that airline's website and get it even cheaper.

I fly with them often. I have never flown on AA or UA because they are always like $200USD+ over everybody else's ticket prices.

My favorite is Kayak.com. Sometimes it comes up with fares that are actually cheaper with vendor sites than with the airline sites, although the airline sites are usually cheapest. It checks practically everything except Southwest in the US, and it checks tons of flights outside of the US as well. So I search with Kayak and then use the appropriate website to book.

www.itasoftware.com (Click on Airfares)
www.kayak.com
www.orbitz.com

Check all of them, then if need be, go to the airline's direct website and try to find the same fare and book it for $10-$15 cheaper  Smile

My vote goes to Expedia.com. I fly alot and they beat airline website prices on a regular basis. The best thing is I can purchase a ticket (international itinerary) for a colleague online which many airline websites do not allow. It is easier to track my airline expenses and I can cancel a reservation within 24 hours for a mere $30. Thanks Expedia!

LOL! That's what I do too... only I use Opodo...
I do quite enjoy a spot of flying - more so when it's not in Economy!

delta.com-Nice looking and pretty simple.

MUCRM1A  biggrin

(what's the point of working for the world's biggest GDS if you can't take advantage, right ?)

Or else I do my fare shopping on 1A and go to the carrier's website to book it.

Other good sites

www.opodo.fr
www.expedia.fr

and for US domestic

www.orbitz.com

I like AA.com (easy to use), ba.com (fares are completely transparent, all taxes inclusive always), and easyjet.com (even though they copied our Flexpricer fare calendar concept  grumpy  )
Young and beautiful and thin and gorgeous AND BANNED ! Cya at airspaceonline.com, losers

Qantas.com
Virginblue.com
Jetstar.com

Whatever is the cheapest, which usually is JQ. QF with all their never ending Fuel taxes to too much.

I am surprised that nobody has mentioned
www.lastminute.com yet.
its a great website & i have got good deals with them in the past, though my favourite is opodo.
i had some problems with expedia where they wrongly charged me telesales administration fee for an online booking & worse was the way they treated me when i pointed it out to them.
