jetBlue: It's a young, innovative company that proved so many critics wrong time and time again. They set the standards for modern-day air travel in the U.S. - specifically with IFE and a more simplified fare structure (although introduced by Southwest, it is really hitting all airlines since jetBlue).

The CEO, David Neeleman, is a down-to-earth guy who goes against traditional norms in a good way with the business. He took the best of the most profitable airline in history, Southwest, and added even better things.

Although jetBlue is classified as a LCC, it actually has more comfort than most other airlines. The best thing at jetBlue I'd have to say is the people - the crewmembers work so hard every day to ensure that every customer is happy with the value they receive. There are always a few rotten apples in the bunch, but for the most part they are the friendliest people in the airline industry. I love how even the captain helps customers put bags in the overheads, passes out headphones (for free) and helps clean the plane upon arrival.

jetBlue is not always the cheapest for a specific route and date - but that is because of the competitive response to jetBlue. They do, however, IMHO, offer the best value for economy travel in the U.S. and vicinity.

I don't count TED and US either so your not the only one. Cant say much about B6 or aligent as ive never flown them. here goe's my list in order.

1.F9(DirectTV,good food, nice staff, nice modern A318/319 and CR7 fleet)
2.FL(cheap Biz class, nice staff and Ok service)
3.WN(nice staff, good peanuts,modern 733/735/737NG fleet)
$.NK(My least favourite. Rude staff, but nice A319/321 fleet as well as S-80's. Messy operation in FLL great operation in ACY)

And Frontier, because of the animals, assigned seating.

I have things I like about them all

F9- love their marketing, I find the seats very comfortable, Great friendly employees every time, PTV, and the last time I flew them they served hot snacks.

B6- PTV, great Res employees, easy to understand ticketing rules, good snack choices, Very clean airplanes even the lavs aren't icky. I also love their corporate philosophy. They really seem to follow through on taking care of their employees. Great uniform.

Airtran- Love that you can upgrade even though it's not a true first or business product the larger seats are still great and it makes the FF program feel like it's worth something. Which brings me to I like the FF program there. Improved snacks, XM radio and OK service. I usually fly them short haul and for that purpose they suit me just fine. Acutally seems to have low fares most of the time unlike some of the other LCC's

SWA- Nice employees, Great corporate philosophy towards treating their employees right. I loved Nuts. Improved aircraft interiors.

And things I don't like

F9- route structure doesn't work well for me. Connecting through DEN is rarely convienent for where I want to go.

B6- I absolutely loathe the JFK terminal always too crowded and the low ceilings and poor lighting make me feel clausterphobic. However they have made huge strides in making that terminal more comfortable great food and shopping choices (I love the big rice crispie treats at the market store) and free wireless. I don't find the seats very comfortable either. Fares tend to be higher than some of the alternatives not what I would call truly low cost although the fares are always reasonable.

Airtran- Horrible agents in ATL. Rude gum chewing schlumpy with attitude. Now that I've moved out west they don't serve my area. I prefer PTV to XM radio but still on shorter flights I don't miss the PTV much.

SWA- Cattle calls. all those connections. It took 3 stops on the same plane for me to get from SLC to SMF once I felt like I was on greyhound. I'm not a picky eater but I loathe peanuts, rasins and I don't care for pretzels much so their snacks rate pretty low for me. Fares are usually not the best deal available for that route.
Enough about flying lets talk about me!

Southwest is my favorite. Their staff is always polite and kind, the interiors are new and comfortable and the fares are low. I haven't had a single unpleasant experience with WN.

Not including TED (which would have to be my #1 if I included them because of their relationship with UA, my airline of choice and their tie into it's worldwide network and Star).

Otherwise, my #1 would be ATA for multiple reasons:
-1). They offer a "premium" class product for those who desire it at a reasonable rate.
-2). Their coach product is is comparable with our legacy carriers (if not better than some like AA). Leather seating, audio and video entertainment, snack service (meals on Hawaii flights)
-3). They have a FF program with decent destinations (Hawaii and Mexico)

Since TZ was gutted by WN, obviously their pros have decreased. While WNs move was an excellent business move for them, I believe the Chicago fliers have suffered as WNs service is not as good and the cut in capacity at MDW frequently makes it hard to find a last minute flight with a good fare (even on WN)
Fly the friendly skies of life!. Enjoy every minute.

Considering I've only flown jet Blue I'm going to go ahead and say they are my favorite American LCC. I love the leather seats, the leg room, the Direct TV, the snacks, and the service is always great and I always find the FA's with a smile on!

US Air/ America Wwest, most won't consider them low cost but I do since they are so cheap compared to the competition, It was under 250 bucks to fly LAX-BDL (with a connection) and last year I flew LAX-PHX every other week for about 100 bucks or so, same as the unrestritcted Southwest fare.

US Air/ America Wwest,

Same here. When I applied for jobs, I was put on stand by with them. They always got me on the proper flight and were always polite to me. As a PLAT holder I get to pre board, get free gifts, and get 2miles for every dollar I spend on GAS. I'm not kidding. I spend $150 on gas, and I get about 333 miles for that. Go US/HP.

Well, the only LCC I have ever been on would be Song or US. Other than that, I am strictly UA or an occasional AA.

Song was great, I can't wait to experience there product on Delta.

US, well thats another long story.

1. Frontier of course. Good service, young fleet, and great employees. Oh yeah, Direct TV.

2. Jetblue. Good service, young fleet, great employees, and Direct TV.

3. US Airways. All around great team of employees, and nice route structure.

4. Air Tran. Just have a place for them in the old ticker, and love the fleet.

5. Southwest. Love to hate them, but love to book on them $$$$! Great employees, but butt ugly paint job. How can I dislike an airline that rocks? LOL!

6. Allegiant Air. Quickly becoming one of my favs. I never in my life would have given them a chance of survival, but now I am scratching my head, and dancing everytime they add another destination. GO ALLEGIANT!

7. Gotta add Spirit. Do not know much about them, but admire their paint and fleets.

If I missed any, that is because I am too tired to think. Hell, I love every airline! What am I talking about?

Moderators please move this to polls & preferences.

My favorites are definitely Frontier and Sun Country. Frontier for having new planes, great service, IFE, and a mileage program that allows reward trips at only 15,000 miles. Sun Country for also having new planes, great service, hot food, and an appropriately-sized first-class section, as well as flying MSP-PHX non-stop.
