Of airlines I flown in First, I would say CX, QF, AF, BA in that order. SQ, TG, MH are also always highly rated. EK is apparently sublime if your lucky enough to get an A345 with private F cabins.

I can imagine flying 1st class on SQ´s A345 would be a dream, couldn´t care less about 18 hours SIN-EWR. Goes for EK too.

And QR 1st class in A346HGW would be a dream cometrue, lets not forget Etihad´s config for 1st class.....just awesome!

Anyone got pics of PIA 772-ER/LR 1st class? Remember, this is just me dreaming.

As I've stated before.....and my opinion....AA 777 F-class(flagship suite) for the seat alone.

for all around service and the WHOLE PACKAGE........CATHAY PACIFIC by far!

Domestic, I have flown em all in F except AA. NW is still the most attentive in First with UA a close second. DL, in my opinion, was disappointing. It wasn't much above their Y class cabin service which is NOT bad.
Perhaps I expected too much.

I know that CO don't have exactly an F class [called Business First][like AZ for example]. I personally don't like CO to much, but I must be sincere and admit that their product [Business First class] is better than most F classes among U.S. carriers [and very few European ones].

Just my personal opinion and experience.

Domestic "First Class" in US is what is called Regional or Domestic Business in Asia, Oz and M.E. Hence, can't really be compared with what the industry terms "First Class": ie international full service cabin on 3-class routes.

I fully understand your comment. However, the lead post did not mention international vs. domestic nor did it mention a clear definition of international OR domestic.
So, I commented and CLEARLY stated that it was only a domestic point of view here in the good ole US of A.

The best First Class seats are located on AA's 777-200ER. Staff are always friendly and kind to you. The food AA provides on their 777-200ER's in First Class is just tremendous and delicious. I have never had a bad experience with AA, but otherwise I always have great experiences on AA flights and that is why I think they're the best!

I once had to fly as an emergency on UA from LAX to NRT on a 777. I Bought a First Class ticket which I think wasn't good enough to be considered as a First Class ticket. The staff on the plane weren't nice, but otherwise they were rude and aggressive and plus the food that UA provided for that flight wasn't just good. I tasted as if the food was expired! That was frustrating that I wanted to get my money back since that was a bad experience.

If it would of been up to me, I would of waited for the next AA flight from LAX to NRT, but it resulted that the next AA flight from LAX to NRT wasn't until next day, and I had to be in Tokyo already by next day. I still fly on UA a few times, but only like 4 times a year. I only fly on UA when I find that AA doesn't serve that route, but only domestically.

I totally respect your opinion American777, but don't share it at all.

Have you ever tried Cathay, Singapore, Emirates, even Continental [Business First]? As well as yours, a personal opinion, all of them are far ahead than AA.

Just a sample...

It's good that you've had positive experiences, but the purpose of the thread is to ask who has the best (not who is best in the US). No US carrier's F class is a serious competitor to those metioned on the thread. AA's seats may be best amoung US carriers, but US carriers are consistently rated toward the lower end of the rankings by frequent fliers, including regular international American frequent fliers. Please check some of the sites, such as SkyTrax seat comparisons, sleep ratings and others.

Cheers,

Ozglobal.

PS How does a 16-20 year old have make choices about international F class travel?

Your personal opinion deserves all my respect despite I share it or not.
And mine is that AA is far behind Cathay, Singapore, even Continental in every single aspect.

Probably one of the worst actually. (all things combined)

In my opinion Emirates (on the A345) is the best but I have total respect for Singapore's and Cathay's service. I suppose they are the best three.

Sure, he may have had a nice flight but in my experience, I would never look to any US carrier for a decent First Class service or club/business for that matter.

They are simply not up to standard.

With the only exception of CO's Business/First [just for the records, CO is not one of my favourite airlines].

In my opinion the best F/P service etc:

US:
1. CO
2. UA
3. DL

Mexico, Centeral America, Latin America.
1. LA
2. AM
3. MX

EU:
1. AF
2. BA
3. LX

Far East:
1. CX
2. SQ
3. NH

OZ Land and NZ:
1. QF
**not much choice when you go down under from the states and this is just from what I know friends have told me of their experiences, though they like NZ equally though they no longer have F/P class.
