My Upcoming Asian Adventure, Any Advice?

Sun Oct 22, 2006 1:07 am

I just got the final schedules for my trip to asia. Included in this are a few Chinese domestic flights. Any advice on these airlines or these airports? this is my first trip to asia, and my first time on KE KA and surprisingly AA.

We are going to tour foundries and machinery factories in South Korea, Taiwan and China.

We are considering moving our ICN PUS leg back one day to spend a day in Seoul with a guide.

KE 1402 08NOV PUS ICN 700A 800a
KE 691 08NOV ICN TPE 920A 1110A
KA 489 09NOV TPE HKG 800A 945A
KA 804 09NOV HKG PVG 1100A 115P
AA 288 16NOV PVG ORD 545P 505P
AA4109 16NOV ORD CLE 810P 1025P

Should be a fun way to spend a few weeks. Any input or things i should know? I was planning to buy a passbook for the Continental presidents club at ICN, has anyone ever done this?

ICN is one of my favorite airports (except the immigration). I love Korean Air but I heard Asiana has to be cool as well.

Seoul is a cool City and I like it very much. However, Winters can be pretty cold there.

Actually you don't have really any China domestic flights. HKG is considered as a special territory and you will have to pass immigration, not speaking of Taiwan (ROC).

Lots of fun during your trip!

Economy unfortunately, the fares are about $2500 as it is, and business would be a huge cost. I wish we could have gotten it for at least the big hops from ORD-ICN and back, but it was too much money.

I do, they just arent listed here, because i dont know them yet. We have a guide from a vendor that is arranging all of those, i will try to get the details of that for the trip report.
