MSP is one of the nicest, cleanest, and most functional airports in the entire US. There is decent shopping and eating there, and the quality of service from NW
is pretty good (it's their home hub, so they are more than present). The DC-9 leg of your trip is ... on one of NW
's old DC-9's. I hope you are seated towards the front of the cabin, the back is loud. The DC-9's have minimal leg room, but the seats are decent, and the cabins were updated to resemble those in the 717 not too many years back. The A319 is comfortable, quiet, and are all in very good shape.
Cabin service is less than overwhelming.... no IFE of any sort. You'll get drinks, food costs extra. The FA
's are hit or miss, when they are good, the service is very good, but they have some unpleasant flight crews floating around.
service isn't up to par with CO
, but it's not bad either. Minimalist, but functional. It shouldn't be a bad trip. I'm sad to say, the quality of experience on NW
is not what it was in 2001, but they seem to be improving. Post a trip report and let me know what you think of NW
