Oh, I got a Coke all over an embarrassing part of my pants just before landing, and it didn't dry before we deplaned...tried to fit too much on the tray table ....laptop etc.

A guy next to me in the aisle seat, got some sauce dropped down his shirt by the F/A. He went beserk, she said "So sorry, it was because of the turbulence .." , which it was, he replied "NO, it's because you're a CLUTZ"...and proceded to discuss dry cleaning charges for the rest of the flight.

I dropped a slice of toast with marmalade on my trousers while flying LHR-SNN the Aer Lingus F/A gave me another slice of toast but no marmalade! We weren't even in turbulence it was because I had too much to eat in a short space of time so I was eating to fast.
The rest of the meal was very nice.

Never. I fly United so the first thing I do is tune into Channel 9 and listen for the Captain get a Ride Report. Big grin

Hah, I once flung a knife off of the edge of my plate (it was a glass plate, this was United, before Sept 11) covered in ravioli... it went straight up, did a few cartwheels, and went straight down... between the legs of the woman sitting next to me.

Horrified? That's one word.

Got some gravy spilled on my light gray pants during dinner on a Thai flight
NRT-SEA -I was the clutz. The stewardess brought me a bottle of soda-water and a towel and advised me to soak the stain and rub it with the towel.
Thanks to the SODA and dry air at altitude, the stain was completely gone and the pants were dry in no time.
Another reason why Thai is one of my favourite airlines.

Once on a BA-747 into London, it started raining in the cabin --- and I got fairly wet, I put a blanket over me and that helped. I guess a lot of water somehow accumulated in the ventilation system, and it all came down on my head. Funny thing, it was Sunny and clear in London the entire time I was there so I guess it was just a British Payback thing.

Although not food or drink, the a/c system once leaked onto me whilst takeoff at Samui on a Bangkok Airways ATR72. The crew were happy to help, and gladly it was only water  Smile

One of my most mortifying moments ever.... SA203 from JNB-DKR-JFK. Dinner was served in cattle class and I had the best seat in the house. I was making quite an effort not to spill any of the tomato chicken and rice dish onto myself. The hot tinfoil dish suddenly buckled in half and the entire contents spilled on my pants and down the aisle. It seemed as if everybody was looking on while I was crawling on the carpet, trying to clean the mess....  embarrassed

On a OA flight between ATH and MXP (no turbulence) the stewardess spilled hot tea "all over the place" including in my lap. She did get a towel, but left it to me to clean up the mess. Not a single word like "sorry".

Spilled red wine over my pants flying GRU-AMS on the 772. It wasn't turbulence.

The person next to me on LAX-ICN spilled coke onto me about five hours into the flight. We only had 9.5 hours to go  Smile

On Ryanair, the guy next to me didn't put the top on his water bottle and a bump over the alps and my pants are soaked with H2O.

On UA, a guy tried very hard to open his juice next to me and he finally got it open, but it was all over me. Let's just say I have not been fortunete with seat mates and their ability to handle food and drink.

On a flight from VCE to LHR this summer, we were given dark chocolate truffles after lunch. I didn't know until I got of the plane that a piece of chocolate had broken off and dropped down between my legs and lodged itself on my bum, making lovely chocolate marks all over my nice white trousers in really embarrassing places.

Was flying AF in business in 1995 from NRT to CDG. Flight attendant spilled beer on my grey pants prior to take off. He was very apologetic and made sure for the entire flight that my glass was never empty.

I was on a short flight from LAX to FAT on UA Express Brasilia and we had just taken off, the FA was going around giving everyone the drinks they orderd before flight and he was going by kind of fast just setting everyones drinks on the tray and going down the line quite quickly. Well my tray was not down as I dont put it down just for a drink but he wasnt looking and put it down as if it was there and let go of the cup of Canada Dry and fell right into my lap. That sucked but hey, the FA appologized and gave me a full can haha. I was happy with an apology and thats it. If you just apologize to me, everythings all good  Smile

She should have said sorry but what did you expect her to do wipe up your lap for you? Uh no.

I haven't spilt anything over myself so far. But I have spilt juice over the lady sitting next to me. She was suprisingly fine about it. Luckily it was on SQ and they don't give that much drink in a given serving.

On a haunted flight AGP to HAJ, my mum sitting across the aisle was hit by magazines falling down from the overhead compartment twice (when F/A´s retrieved and stowed baskets) and on the same flight the very same F/A spilled two full plastic glasses of OJ over my sweater. And that was good OJ with lots of natural fibres ...

My first business class flight on Qantas back in ummm 2001 (I think thats the right year) I was really excited to be upstairs, I mean I was excited about business class, but at that time being UPSTAIRS on a plane was a big deal to me, I had an oranage juice in a wine glass and I nocked it over and it went all over my shirt, pants and the seat, plus a bit of the glass around the rim was broken off. I turned bright red the the lovely QF flight attendant cleared it up and helped to dry my shirt. in the midst off all this I got up to go to the bathroom to look in the mirror as to whether the shirt was better I nocked over my dad champaign, luckly his was almost empty, but it still left his pants wet... this was beofre we even took off.

TWA FA once spilled coffee on my lap on a flight from PHX to LGA.
Got the club soda.and thanks to the low humidity at altitude, pants dried quickly. TPAnx

I have done things like that. Yoghurt containers are hard to open so when you do open it the contents usually go flying...

Also soft drink in cans is another problem as they are pressurized and the contents readily come out without warning.

If you poke the lid of a yogurt or salad dressing container with a pen/toothpick/fork prior to opening it will allow the pressure to even out so it doesn't spray you.
