Best Regional Airline To Work For?

Wed Jan 03, 2007 12:25 pm

I'm interested to know who you think is the best or one of the best regional airlines in the United States to work for and why? Also let me know who to stay away from. Thanks!

QX pays the best, flys in the best part of the country, great a/c. Horizon is the best!

The best part of the country is relative to what one considers 'best.'

For example, being raised in the Mojave desert, I consider the southwest part of the country the best. The northwest is too rainy, and the east is too humid.

So, for that matter, I would Suggest SkyWest.

Mesa, while located in the southwest, is far from being close to the top of my list, so I could not recommend them.

The money that one earns is only relative to the cost of living in the area that one chooses. The dollar amount is nothing. Local purchasing power is everything.

For someone who doesn't live in the US, I would say Horizon. However, if it were me, I would prefer to work for Southwest even though it is not a regional carrier. I worked for Western/Delta for over 20 years, and chose to quit and pursue another career in 1998. I don't regret that at all, and would never consider working for the airlines again. The only exception would be if I lived in the States, I would like to work for Southwest.
Good luck!
