Tue Feb 06, 2007 1:35 am

Need some advice of you fellows, i´m planning a trip to Asia first stop is TPE, then i have to go to Hangzhou, in China which is near to Shanghai and from there to SIN. The question is, there are not directs flights from Taiwan to China other than HKG? Should i route my trip only trough HKG?
Thanks a lot for you help. It is not easy..

For mileage's sake, it never hurts to concentrate on flying one airline.

I don't mean to publicise my favourite airline, but CX/KA pretty much covers your entire Asian itinerary.  tongue

KA is dragon air, maybe sub of CX. Korean air=KE. You knew that, right?

From TPE to HGH, amadeus.net says that NX also offers good schedule via Macau. Usually Jeju (Korea) and Okinawa (Japan) also offer good schedule between certain cities in Taiwan and China, but not for Hangzhou. Your itenary really is uneasy to set up schedule, but surely will be an interesting trip.

To reply to your question, you cannot fly direct from Taiwan to mainland China, you ar obliged to transit through HKG.

This is right - you can fly TPE - HKG with CX or KA, then HKG to HGH with KA. And of course you can then continue your trip on to SIN with CX.

BTW, Hangzhou is worth visiting, the West Lake is very nice !
