How Is Domestic First Class On Continental's 757's

Wed Feb 14, 2007 12:16 pm

hi i was wondering if anyone has recently flown a 757-200 or 757-300 within the US on CO? on thursday i will be flying to MCO on CO in first class on a 757-300 on my way back it will be first class on a 757-200. how is the seats, service, FA's? also on the 757-200 i've heard that they now have AVOD even when flying domesticly, if they do could you tell me about it and is it on the back of the seat or does it come out from the seat. i look foward to posting a trip report.

any comments would be great.

Domestic F on CO is ok, its no Virgin, but it gets the job done. The food is alright and the FA's are nice. I have never been unhappy flying CO. I flew on a 757-300 from PHX-EWR last month, it then continued on to MCO. It was a great ride, clean and comfortable.

All the CO B752's have AVOD in first class, 16 cloth business first style seats with the AVOD is in the arm rest between the seats. You won't get anything more in the way of service than domestic first class service/food/bev, just the seats and AVOD. The AVOD is touch screen.....a bunch of movies, CD's, and some TV sitcoms. Along with the AVOD they have a AC power so no need to have an adaptor to power your computer etc., just plug it in and away you go.

The B753's are 24 regular leather first class seats with the entertainment having the overhead screens about every 3 rows or so and no power plugs.

Service will be the same on either aircraft......FA, you could hope you'll some of the a.net folks such as EWRCabincrew but for the most part very good service and attitude.

Enjoy CO, they are my choice for air travel.

There are no severe thunderstorms forecast, so the turbulence should not be too bad. Maybe some light chop. Maybe it will be perfectly smooth. You won't be facing anything that horrible, but it isn't something that can be predicted easily. If you want to check to see if there might be turbulence before you go, log on to the NOAA Aviation website and look to see if there are any reports on your flight path.

Domestically we have first class on our 757s, internationally, Business/First. The seats are the same. When flying domestically, as IAHFLYR said, it is first. Bookable as such. When you book internationally, then it is Business/First.

I am just glad you all enjoy the flights. Thank you all!!!

Will the B753s get upgraded to include AVOD entertainment in the seat rests, and laptop plugs, to keep in line with the B752s?

Good question....bet some employee who works hard and flys right will know!

My guess is since they are working now toward winglets on some of the B735's and B733's they will focus on that $$$....first 500 is getting them installed right now in OKC.

i got on the plane at 8:45 PM and off in orlando at 12:30. the seats were great. not the best movie, because there was no movie, they showed continental vision, it wasn't bad at all. the service was good but i kept wondering when will the FA bring me more pretzels. but it wasn't a problem. now i need to know about the 757-200 with CO.

p.s i will post the trip report when i get back to houston.
