CO Non-rev

Thu Feb 15, 2007 1:15 am

I am sure people here have flown CO non-rev and I was wondering how the experience was. I am flying them non-rev next week from CMH-IAH-LAX assuming they have open seats, which as of now it looks pretty good. Anyway, just wondering how easy it is to get around with them and such. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

They're great. I personally think they are the best legacy carrier to fly with. Most of the time, our crews are good, and they feed you, which is rare nowadays. As a non-rev, we treat our own well, and try to ensure we get all non-revs where they wanna go!

Hey COEI2007, I am flying IAH-LAX and there are currently 42 open seats on that flight. Should I be worried that all 42 of those seats will sell out before next tuesday or do you think I will be fine? Forgive me if I ask dumb questions, but I am new to the airlines (Sep. 06) and this is the 1st time I have non-reved on another carrier

A non revenue passenger such as an airline employee flying stand-by, if seats open they go based upon senority and title as well. Not to be confused with deadheading where they have a positive space seat to connect with a flight at a different city or to return to their base from trip that ended at another location.

I sure hope that is correct information, but I know an airline employee will verify what I am saying!!  Cool

Yep, IAH you got it right. At least that's how we work it at JetBlue anyway.
