Transatlantic On Star Alliance

Sun Mar 04, 2007 2:59 am

I will be flying to Deutschland (MUC) this summer, and want to use some US dividend miles up. I have been checking out all the star alliance carriers, and was wondering if you guys had any advice as to which provides the best transatlantic service. Flight times/ layovers aren't really an issue here and I am looking for the best over experience considering service, aircraft type, IFE, and potential layover airports. All and any recomendations are welcome, thanks...

Lufthansa has nothing special to offer whatsoever in economy. They have no PTVs, not especially good service and not especially good seats. LH is just generic in economy.

If you want a bit more variety, SQ JFK-FRA is a definite plus. SQ is great. Other good options are Swiss or Air Canada.
If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!

I forgot that SQ has the JFK-FRA service (kind of a weird place to see SQ) - SQ is probably Star's best airline, and I would go with them if I were you. Austrian, SAS, Lufthansa, and Swiss are also good choices.
