Myself I've been lucky to not have flown on a C/ERJ.
From what I understand from the remarkable discussions about them on here and other sites is that the ERJ is the most comfortable if you were to sit down and average preferences. I think that's because of the ERJ having a solo seat on the left side of the cabin vs the traditional 2-2 seating on commuter aircraft where as the ERJ has 1-2.
Hopefully more airlines will order the E7X & E9X a/c's. They seem to be great from a passengers perspective but somewhat annoying in the beginng as the majority of airlines have had "teething problems" like all new a/c but seem to be more remarkable do to the fact they have these new and sophiscated computer systems and programs that are hypersensitive to just about everything.
It would be great if Horizon got the E75/E95s with the routes they have. Customers and flight crews would be a lot happier and it would allow them to open more routes they don't currently serve. I.E., flying to smaller destinations in Mexico where a 73G is too big and a C/ERJ are just not too desirable from the customer's point of view. A E75/95 would be so much more comfortable and would drive more flyers to take those flights vs a C/ERJ. Another example: HPX had nonstops from LAX
/MZT/SJD on CRJs for a while. But who would want to fly on one of those when they can fly on a nice AS
73G/8/9 or MX
32X and similar on AM
which also comes with decent on board service? No wonder their new flights were short lived. Both DL
are using the C/ERJs on some flights to Mexico from LAX
and though I love both airlines very much I don't see these flights beng too popular and being around for any significant period of time unless they get larger RJs.
