Air Canada Flight #415

Wed Mar 28, 2007 11:58 am

In February I was on this flight (YUL - YYZ) and I am wondering where it originates from. I saw the A330 land and taxi to the gate, and to my surprise....no one got off. And when we boarded there was no one in it?? I am assuming this is called a non-rev flight? What is the purpose of this, I don't understand why they could not have filled it with passengars? Also, does this aircraft just fly back and forth all day between YUL and YYZ?

Thanks for your help!!

Im not sure where it came from but no they dont have a 330 that onle does yyz-yul...They will do thru flights with the wide bodies like asia-yvr-yyz etc... interesting to see such a large aircraft on a ferry flight. My only guess is it came from maintainance at winnepeg?

The A333 flying YUL-YYZ originates in Europe, so passengers do not deplane into the departures area. Instead, they must go through the customs/immigration area downstairs. The plane parks at gate 50, which is above the customs facility but still in the domestic departures area.

The previous flight may have been a training flight with only the pilots aboard.
