Service Questions AA DFW-EZE & EZE Layover

Tue Apr 17, 2007 2:54 am

Hi,

I have been lurking on this forum for quite a while but I have finally joined. And this is my first post so please be kind

 Smile

I have booked an award ticket for me and my friend on AA SFO-DFW-EZE next month. All flights are in Y. I have never flown AA internationally, most of my flights are on NH, JL, LH plus a few UA flights between the US and Europe. My few AA flights in the US weren't that great but I figured I might give them a try to South America just to see what their service is like.

I have read some of the TRs with AA to South America but most of them were either in premium cabins or a few years old.

What can I expect now? I don't care about IFE, but what about food and seat comfort? Is seat comfort much better than in domestic Y?

Also, I am taking a side trip to SCL on Lan, coming back to EZE on LA 445 at 5:05pm. That should give me about 4 hours in EZE, enough for my connection on AA EZE-DFW at 9:25pm if the Lan flight is not delayed.

Does anybody have experience with Lan or this particular flight? Can I expect delays?

Thanks

Do not expect much more than a domestic flight, perhaps a few extra perks (I flew only EZE-JFK-EZE). They have normally a trolley on the back where you can serve yourself drinks throghout the night. Seats are good in terms of space I been told. But food not very special, plus if you want to drink wine you will have to pay. One uncle of mine flew the same route but he prefers to fly United, better service.

The connecting time at EZE on the way back is more than enough. EZE is a small airport. And don't worry about LAN. They are usually ontime, reliable. In addition they are partners with AA so if something happens they will arrange something for you.

If you want to check status of flight LA445 everyday, just browse the EZE airport site, on arrivals, you can refine your search. Just go to www.aa2000.com.ar and then select the airport (EZE) and so.

Good luck and enjoy Argentina and Chile.
