LGW To LHR Transfers

Sun Apr 22, 2007 4:27 am

Next week I have to transit between LGW and LHR. Are there easy busses that make the transfer? Approximate cost and time need between connections?

£19 on National Express.

Buses every 15-20 minutes during the day.

Ride time around 60-90 minutes.

Allow at least 3-4 hours between flights.

Relatively painless procedure.

I transferred just this week, on Monday.

It's 19 quid like B747-437B said, and relatively painless. The office is located right on the arrivals level - at least for the North Terminal. The National Express is loads better then the trains, with bag dragging during connection stops. It's worth every £, $, or € - whichever you prefer.

The problem with the bus it that it uses the M25 motorway, one accident and you are stuck.
It happened to me last year. Luckily I was still at LGW waiting for the bus that never showed up.
So I took the Gatwick Express to Victoria, outside an onto a bus to Paddington, and then the Heathrow Express to LHR. Very fast and only took an hour total. But heavy on the wallet (luckily my company paid), but worth it as I saved a nightstop in London.
