i am not an expert but i guess it will be fine!
I just had a connection from T4
to T1 (coming in from MUC
, leaving for CCU
) we just had 75 minutes (which is BA
's minimum connection time as far as i know) and we managed the connection without any problems.
It's just getting difficult when there are cue's at the checkpoints, the way to walk and the busride itself don't take too much time. But I guess everybody will understand when you cross the line at the queues, while showing your boarding pass and excusing at the other waiting passengers. I had to do that once and it was no problem, people were quite understanding (also LHR
is quite chaotic for my taste. I went through LHR
4 times and 3 times my luggage got stuck somewhere and was delivered some days later at my final destination. I also experienced that according to my ticket my gate CLOSES at -let's say- 8:05 PM
, I was at the terminal quite late (i.e. 8:00 PM
) and there was not even a gate assigned to the flight. So the Gate was opened at about 8:10 PM
(which is already 5 mins past the official time of last boarding).
Actually the incoming flight was NOT late, we departed about 25 mins late (due to late boarding) and arrived just 5 minutes late at our destination.
So due to my personal experiences I agree with ANITIX87 to prevent flying via LHR
as much as possible.
: just remembering that we had to wait for out on the taxiway in the plane for 40 minutes (!) although we were exactly on time! (BA
147 on 15th of April this year). (i guess for a free gate.. maybe anybody here at a.net knows more details about it..)
