United has great coffee.

It's Starbuck's, but unlike the chain which roasts the beans at a temperature more akin to the surface of Venus and uses enough coffee grounds per cup to manufacture a beverage that could pass for motor oil, United uses a MUCH lower amount of grounds and a MUCH lower (and proper temperature) for their coffee, resulting in a beverage that doesn't overwhelm you with a burnt taste or have the consistency of a Penzoil product.

Starbuck's, it's not your product, it's your manufacturing process that is awful!!

I'm so glad United is cheap...

Has to be Singapore Airlines.

They make amazing coffees.

Also they make to order (in Business and First - rare on most airlines) - Fresh Iced coffees, Fresh iced teas, Iced chocolates... VERY delish! You can even twist their arms if youre flying coach sometimes  Smile

I did like the coffee on OS and in F on US is actually not so bad.

UA is better than regular Starbucks...

Someone was using coffee from Green Mountain Coffee (which I love in a big way) but I am not sure who - might have been DL?

Hi!

No, no!!! The best coffee relies on TP...we, the portuguese have a coffee drinking culture and we know exactely the best coffee around...from Santos/Brazil, to Zidamo/Ethiopia passing by the East Timor Coffee we are one of the biggest consumer of Expresso around the world!!! If you want to taste just come to Lisbon and get in those Cafes with 200 years old like NICOLA or BRASILEIRA DO CHIADO and you'll feel the REAL COFFEE CULTURE around...I'm sorry but in coffee it will be hard someone to beat the portuguese...and add some pastry and you'll see the magic blend!
TP knows how to do it!!!

Last year I flew with AF CDG-PEK and they did the same thing (mind you, without the marshmallows!!). It was delicious!!!

Not always happy with Finnair's meals but they do serve good coffee, they are co-operating with the coffee company Robert's Coffee.

By the way, Finland is number one in per capita consumption of coffee  coffee , I guess also when flying. Because of the long cold winters?

Hi!

Well I must agree that JUAN VALDEZ Coffee that I tasted in Bogotá shop close to the Plaza Central was absolutely fantastic too!!! I wonder why that coffee brand is not present in other airlines? By the way, a JUAN VALDEZ expresso with a glass of MACARSI in the end must be THE PERFECT connection for the colombian people right?

KLM has always had great coffee. LH also has a good cup of coffee. Mind, you, after 7-8 hours of flying time over the North Atlantic, and the sun is just coming up, any coffee is good!

EL AL (LY) has real espresso machines for First and Business Class, with good quality ground coffee on board. Some of their crew know how to make all kinds of 'specials' such as a cappuccino with 3 colours of coffee under the frothed milk (made in a glass to show off the colours). I have never seen anything like that elsewhere. It certainly tasted good!

Has anyone flown on Ethiopian? That airline's country is supposed to have the best coffee in the world. I believe coffee originated in Ethiopia as well.

The best coffee in the world is actually and most likely from either Ethiopian Airlines, Turkish Airlines or Yemenia Airlines. Coffee brewing began in these regions, and Ethiopian coffee is one of the most expensive types. Met many Ethiopians, who have claimed coffee elsewhere sucks. Many Turks also claim that their coffee is the best.

As something of a coffee nerd ( I can't spell connois&*%$r!) I've never had what I would call a superb cup of coffee from any airline. The least awful I've had was probably OS, and the worst by a long way was BA. It took two mints and a stick of chewing gum to get rid of the taste of that slop.

Some of the finest coffees in the world grow in the Indonesian archipelago - think high grown arabica from central Bali, Tanah Toraja from Sulawesi or Bukit Barisan from Sumatra - but you'll usually get instant cr@p on our domestic flights!

I would imagine all coffee growing country's to have great coffee on there airlines.
Has anyone drank coffee on
Avianca?
Air India?
Thai Airways?
Air France?

As much as I drink coffee, I rarely drink it on flights. I don't want to be jittery in flight. I much rather drink alcohol on a flight. I should have tried Thai Airways when I flew them but since I was in Royal First, I went straight for the Johnny Walker Blue Label.
