AA First Class Meals To/From DFW.

Fri May 18, 2007 1:53 am

Does anyone have any information regarding some examples of FC meals served on AA to and from DFW. I'm flying RIC-DFW (Breakfast)-DFW-SNA (Lunch). On the return I'm flying SJC-DFW (Breakfast)-DFW- RIC (Dinner). Are there choices are one meal option. Thx

There is usually choices.

Breakfast you might find omelete or pankakes. Dinner, chicken or pasta. Lunch: Some sort of sandwhich. Don't expect anything really fancy  Smile

Have they put FC meals back? When they dropped them PHX/DFW I wrote a letter of positive criticism about downgrading experience of their volume fliers. I got back a convoluted letter of explanation that did not really say anything. I haven't been on this route in a few months (due to switching to others that serve something other than packaged pretzels in first), so I don't know if they put meals back. I hope so.

I flew a late-night snack service on a 763 in april from DFW-LAX and it had the main course of cold chicken and salad which was served in a very generous portion with metal silverware. The warm nuts, towels, and hot cookies (awesome) were other great service additives. I think you will enjoy AA first class.

-RIC-DFW is a breakfast snack service, not the full service meal option. You'll get the normal morning beverage options, fresh fruit plate, and a bagel/biscuit.

-DFW-SNA lunch will probably be a sandwich option with a salad, cheese and crackers, and of course fresh baked cookies.

-SJC-DFW is full breakfast service, which is fresh fruit and the meal choice will be a combination of cereal and omelet or pancakes, and bagel/biscuit.

-DFW-RIC dinner service is a salad and option of pasta or short rib, and cheesecake. For some reason, I love the pasta, both versions of it.

Of course lunch and dinner will include warm nuts and a hot towel.

Does AA still have make-your-own sundaes in FC, or has that been dropped? I had a sundae in FC on ORD-SEA, but that was almost 5 years ago.

I get make-your-own sundaes on Business class from MIA-GRU/GIG on the 767. I'm sure you get the same on Firt Class on the 777s when you travel international.

Cheers

For the most part, sundaes were pulled from domestic service, but are sometimes on transcons and Hawaii service.

For international service its on basically every flight, usually it isnt made at your seat anymore though.

I just flew DFW-LGA in F and then EWR-DFW in F on the return, and got sundaes both ways -- they weren't "make your own", but they were damn good.

I flew AA Business Class (767-200's) from LAX to JFK and JFK to LAX last January. The sundaes were not self serve so to speak but the FA had a cart with ice cream and an assortment of ingredients from which you could chose from. They would ask you what type of sauce, nuts, whipped cream, cherry etc you wanted and they would assemble it next to your seat so you could watch the process. It is more personable that way and that is what sitting up front is all about. From my observations, the FA's seemed to enjoy this part of the inflight service and I definitely did as a passenger. There were usually lots of smiles all around. When I flew in First Class on AA about 3 years ago, sundaes were pre-made or prepared in the galley prior to serving and you were not able to chose what you wanted on it. The new system is similar to ordering a Subway sandwich when you visit one of their stores.

And you will see plenty of dirty service carts along the way....
