Anyone Been To The Airport Chapel?

Sun May 20, 2007 2:39 am

I've often noticed that major airports in the US have Chapels available to passengers and personnel. I was just wondering what they looked like inside and if any of you use them. Also, do other airports around the world offer them? I know that Saudi Arabia's airports offer full sized mosques in their airports and many of their airports all together look like mosques. They are quite beautiful inside and out.

I have been into LHR "Multi-faith" prayer room, it looked very normal from inside, it's a 7m x 7m square shape room, there is a toilet + washroom. All holy books are inside and a little writings about 3 major religions (Islam, Judaism, Christianity).

I've been in the one @ ATL twice, both times as part of airport tours (one was a school field trip, the other was a Boy Scout field trip). That was close to 20 years ago, so I really can't remember much about them.

I've seen them at LHR and LGW but never been in. I think BHX had one at one point as well but I'm not sure if it's still there? I've never seen anybody go in or out of them, I wonder if they get much use?

I've been to a multi-faith prayer room in SIN and had a prayer in there.
