How To Get To Australia Cheaply

Tue Jun 12, 2007 2:38 am

Hi
I have been looking at going to Australia this December for 2 weeks but the fares have shot up to almost double in the space of a week. I saw a fare with Emirates for £600 last week and now when I've gone to book, they are £1000+ each!
I cannot find anything under £1000.

Could someone please help me find a cheaper fare to Australia, I've looked but cannot find anything!
The travel dates are 27th December returning 7th January. I know these are peak times but last time I went, similar dates it was £700 with MH via Penang and Kuala Lumpur, returning from Perth.

Thank you in advance
- Alec

If you find one let me know. The last time I checked fares were going at $5,000+. OK I'm only interested in business class and up  Smile

Give China Eastern a go. They show fares from the UK to SYD/MEL at GBP 660.00 incl. taxes.

Marry (or at least date) a UA flight attendant...preferrably one with a lot of seniority so you can get F or J class.

Sounds a bit extreme!

That's excellent. I'll check them out. Thanks

Not quite sure what the random picture of a rowing boat is for but thanks for your contribution!

Can Do LHR-SIN-LHR via DOH on QR for £604 return, then QF SIN-PER-SIN non-stop for £237.90.

Leaving LHR @ 14:15 on the 27th on QR012, 1hr 10min connection at DOH to get onto QR 626, arriving into SIN at 14:00, on the 28th. Then flying QF 78, levaing SIN at 19:45, getting into PER at 01:55am on the 29th.

On the return leg, leave PER at 16:30 on QF 71 on the 7th, arriving into SIN at 20:45. Then fly on QR 627, leaving SIN at 02:45, a 1hr 40min connection at DOH, arriving into LHR at 12:25 on the 8th on QR 11.

Book the two two seperate sectors on the flyqatar.com and qantas.com.sg

Hope this Helps!

With Regards,
