I watched the T-birds several years a go when they performed at the Air Fete at RAF Mildenhall.
I, too, join the club of those who say: "Their flying is very good, but the overall show is lacking somehow".
It is difficult with only 6 ships to create the same "density" (I lack a better word here) of the show as it is possible with 8, 9 or 10 ships.
Furthermore, but this probably is my very own view of the things, I found the commentary way too focussed onto national pride. There is nothing wrong in national pride, but it also can be overdone (worst example I ever encountered was a very !!! enthusiastic announcer of the Italian Frecce Tricolori at some RIAT at RAF Fairford).
At present, Patrouille Suisse and Red Arrows make the top of my personal list of Precision Flying Teams with 6 and more ships (I have not experienced the Blue Angels and the Snowbirds yet).
