Miami/Philadelphia Connection?

Sat Jun 30, 2007 3:20 pm

Hey guys/gals,

I am going to be transiting in MIA for about 2 hours. Seeing that this is my first time in MIA, what can I do to occupy my time? Any special resturants? etc?

Same question for PHL?

Which airlines are you flying into/out of MIA? Some options depend on what concourse you'll be flying into/out of.

2hrs won't give you a lot of time to leave the airport in MIA. Your best bet would be to go to the top of the
Airport Hotel and have a drink or a meal and look out of the great view way above the ramp.
You could try taking a Cab to Bayside Marketplace, but by the time you got there, you would have
to leave again quickly to get back through security.

With any luck, you'll get a gate at Concourses D or E, which are the closest AA concourses to the hotel. Aside from that, there really isn't much to do in 2 hours.

Don't leave the airport, as you will probably not be back in time for your flight...LOL.

Although 2 hours is enough to leave and go back into the gate, if you are hungry - there is a Cuban restaurant called "La Carreta" in concourse D. There is a Chilli's by concourse G. There is a food court that has another Cuban restaurant called "Bacardi" and also inside that food court there is a BK, California Pizza and a few other eateries. There are also a few cafe stops known as "Cafe Versailles" which sell good pasteries, coffee etc. Thats as far as food goes, there are alot more if you walk around, but can't think of their names right now.

Shopping wise, MIA has a pretty good selection of shops throughout the main terminal, Brookstone being one of them.

If you need a haircut, there is also a hair salon right on the terminal next to the entrance of the Miami Int'l Airport Hotel by concourse E Big grin

Its a LONG terminal. Plenty to see, people watch, eat, shop etc.

Eh not much. You can enjoy the "fine" dining of the B/C Concorse food court if you really wanted to or just spot a little bit from a gate. Not much to do in 2 hrs.
