AA 777 Long Haul Biz Cabin

Wed Jul 11, 2007 7:38 am

Hey All

I will be flying to India in September. Hyberadad is the final destination. I will be leaving out of ORD. My question goes to AA ORD - DEL service. I know that the service is 777, but my question goes to the J cabin seats. Does anyone know if the seats are the new flat seats or are they the old style biz cabin? It is 15 hrs to Del, but the other option would be to go via LHR and BOM (or Bangalore).

According to the AA website, through 2007 new seats are being installed in the biz cabin. Have the 777 been given flat seats? Are they real flat seats or angled seats?

Thanks to all!!

Dave
Can I have a mojito on this flight?

from memory of a discussion sometime last week, they are angled flat and not true flat beds like those you would find on VS,NZ, AC or BA

They're not true flat beds but they do recline to probably at least 160 degrees and have a 60" pitch. I almost 100% positive they'll be the "refreshed" leather seats that people on a.net haven't been exactly raving about but seem to be nice in my opinion. They have a nice big PTV screen, the recliner is set relatively low to the floor so its easier to get out if you're in a window seat, a private divider between the seats, and 2 separate tray tables.

These are the non-refreshed seats, a little dated but comparable to other US biz classes. I'm almost positive though that at least most of the 777's have the refreshed seats. Sorry, there aren't any photos on a.net of the new seats but they're comparable.

Here's a virtual tour of the refreshed biz class if you (or anyone else) are interested, its quite extensive and definitely answers anyone's questions. Hope this helps! wave
