I've heard good things about CO
's first class service, and I've heard UA
isn't too bad; they serve meals on many routes and have a decent food service overall. Haven't flown UA
first though, and haven't been in CO
first for a few years though, so I'm a little out of it there.
's was nothing special when I flew it last year STL
. A few rounds of drinks, free headphones (we were on a 757) and a couple of bags of peanuts or pretzels (I forget which; there was no choice).
is decent. Choice of items from the snack basket (depending on the F/A, it can be done pretty liberally, or only a couple of times a flight); they're pretty good about keeping drinks going. Powerports are being added to the planes with PTVs in First, which is real nice (especially since they're AC
outlets). On longer flights, you do only get one meal choice though, and all drinks are in plastic cups (both are downers for me).
My opinion of US first is the same as the first posters - nothing special. A couple of drinks, a pass of the snack basket. On many flights, I only had a bottle of water at my seat; no F/A did pre-departure beverages.
