I would have picked the direct...Why risk a delay and missed connection...

Stop by and say hi at the DL counter before you leave.

When I'm taking a vacation, the trip there and back is as much as part of the vacation to me as what I do once I get to my destination! I have also taken the least convenient routing in order to fly new airlines and to/through new airports (and to avoid the CRJ-200), and don't regret it one bit.

I was done there a few weeks ago trying to redeem a DL Skymiles Certificate. You weren't by chance the guy that helped me out for 2.5 hours trying to get everything sorted with the damn Indian call center?
If so, I need to buy you a few drinks. Lol.

Just about anything is better than a CRJ-200.
|Quoting USAFHummer (Reply 12):|
^ This is similar to my vacation philosophy as well...though I dont plan my trips based on flying new airlines/types, once i have mapped out where I am going to go, then I see if I can have some fun with the whole "getting there" process, long as its affordable and not too much more than what a more rational routing to wherever my destination(s) may be...

They are much more comfortable than CO's crappy old B733s.
