Congratulations, you have been selected to take the Air Traffic Selection and Training (AT-SAT) test in the subject city (Miami). The test will be administered for the FAA by Robinson Aviation (RVA), Inc. We plan to administer this one day test between 9/17/2007 to 10/1/2007. In order to ensure a slot in the test, contact the AT-SAT Program Manager John Smith, (123) 456-7890 or reply to this email with you current address and phone number not later than 8/24/2007. Alternate location may be available by calling (123) 456-7890. The available alternate locations are Daytona Beach, Jacksonville, Portland Me, Nashua NH, Harrisburg PA.

If anybody is familiar, what can I expect to be tested about, and what else can I expect? Thanks in advance!

Congratulations! My girlfriend took it about a month ago, and was put on the FAA's referral list. If you would like, e-mail me, and I will see if she would mind letting you know what you can expect.

Good Luck on it. From your post it sounds like your an off the street hire. I took the AT-SAT 2 years ago. I was the first group of people to take the AT-SAT instead of the OPM test. Expect your brain to feel like mush after. It's a test that they give you 8 hours to take. When I took it, they video and audio taped those testing it. It didn't take me 8 hours. Nor did it take anybody else in my testing group 8 hours. If I remember correctly it took me approximately 5 hours to take and that was with the breaks they offered up.

The beginning is very easy. Angles, dials and so on. Just take a close look at them and you'll do fine. I don't remember exactly what else was on it. I know the letter factory was both fun and frustrating. It randomly stops the letter factory and asks you questions like "Assuming you placed all the letters correctly, what letter would complete the purple box?" So pay close attention to those. The experience questions at the end were simple. The analogies were pretty easy too.

My biggest recomandation would be to get a good nights sleep the night before. If you have any more questions let me know. Good Luck

Two rules in aviation, don't hit anything and don't run out of gas, cause if you run out of gas yer gonna hit something.
