I agree--dont' change it. An airline livery says a lot about how the airline compares to that of times past. As CO
is proud of their status as one of the more comfortable US legacy carriers, I think they should keep the current scheme. Any change should always be an improvement. Keep in mind the cost/benefit ratio of repainting an entire large fleet, like that of CO
To make my point, I know a lot of people wish the old NW
would not only return with their old livery, but their old service standards as well. If the new focus is on service, as they have stated, maybe a return to something more akin to the red/white/gray would be appropriate.
Many will say AA
needs a change. Based on what? There is nothing "wrong" with their current livery, and is very distinctive. If people still associate the bare metal and Eagle with good AA
service, then good for them, even if we all know the AA
of today is not what it used to be, although from the outside, it looks like it ought to be.
