Shuttle America In-Flight Service

Tue Oct 09, 2007 7:08 pm

Was wondering if anyone here at Airliners.net could comment on what the service was like on Shuttle America... either their Delta Connection operation or their United Express side. Any really good aspects? Poor ones? How did it compare to United and Delta mainline?
I just Googled your Yahoo :)

I am sure the DL connection is better than UAX..i thought UA ended all snacks on flights under 750 miles..so I would expect that Shuttle America UAX, is the same. While DL has a snack basket. DL Shuttle America shoudl be the same

I will say from the DCI perspective, the Shuttle America experience is leaps and bounds better than Comair, SkyWest, and ASA when comparing the E70's with any CRJ series a/c. I haven't flown the CRJ-900 yet, however. As far as crew treatment/experience, it is about the same. Ground ops are a little unrefined sometimes.

I heard a rumor that on the DL side they actually have nice meals and real china -- if that is the case that is awesome. UA had the box meals -- in F class I think that is pretty cheap -- but at least it's food.

So, it's leaps and bounds better than something you've never flown? How does that work?

As far as service is concerned, the product is streamlined across the major and regionals. The only difference is between them are the stats. (and based on the UAX stats, I wouldn't vote for the Republic clan.)

I took what was said to mean that of the flights witnessed, the Shuttle flights were the best witnessed. There was a qualification placed on the statement however that disclosed the CRJ-900 had not yet been witnessed. Unless Skywest, ASA and Comair only operate the CRJ-900 (which they dont) I think the opinion given was valid.

I flew Shuttle America from ABQ-ORD in a little over 2 hours on a very nice Embraer 170. Pretty much as expected I had a seat and was given a beverage with something to chew on. I guess the same as most mainline flights from United or Delta of the same duration.  praise
I remember when the DC-3 was new!
